Mission Bay Streetfest postponed until Sunday

The Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest has been postponed from tomorrow until Sunday due to the heavy rain and high winds expected in Auckland tomorrow.

The event will now be held at 6pm on Sunday, March 1.

Event director Richard Lindroos said the Mission Bay waterfront would "come alive with a great atmosphere of music, dancing and dining".

Headline acts at this year's Streetfest include Pugsley Buzzard (Australia), Shane 'Hurricane' Wills (Wellington) and Dave McCartney and Graham Brazier (from Hello Sailor).

There will be two main performance stages, one near the Mission Bay fountain and on one Mission Bay Beach.

Tamaki Drive will be closed between 4pm and midnight.
