Actress Busy Philipps has revealed she was raped at the age of 14.
The Freaks and Geeks star shared her experience in an Instagram post, using the message to support Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused US Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when they were teenagers.
Sharing a photo of her from high school, Philipps, 39, wrote: "This is me at 14. The age I was raped. It's taken me 25 years to say those words. I wrote about it in my book.
"I finally told my parents and sister about it four months ago. Today is the day we are silent no more. All of us. I'm scared to post this."
"I can't imagine what Dr Ford is feeling right now," she finished, referencing Dr. Ford's testimonial.
Philipps is releasing her memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little, on October 23.
A number of other stars have spoken out in support of Ford, including Alyssa Milano, who attended the hearing.
Ellen DeGeneres, Kumail Nanjiani and Natalie Portman are among others who shared their support for Ford.
