Head of UCOL School of Creative Industries Rachel Hoskin says the school has taken part in the trail so people can see what they do, their facilities and the creative student work, which will be on display.
Over the weekend people are able to take part in t-shirt screenprinting and decal making on the Saturday, and on Sunday there will be photography set up in the studio with photography lecturer Tricia Falkner.
Ms Falkner says students will also have various prints and graphic work for sale.
"Images for sale will be in the foyer and will be delivered the week after the event by the student."
Art Trail organiser and artist Nicola Gregory from Fox in the Hen House says the trail means that people are able to experience an intimate inside look at the workings of each artist.
"It adds another layer when you get to be personal with the artists and talk with them about their work. If you own a piece of their work or purchase one on the day, you will have that added layer in the story of your special piece."
Square Edge Community Arts Board representative Rachel Bowen says they are proud to sit at the heart of the vibrant, diverse and exciting art scene of Palmerston North and the Manawatu region.
"Bring your sense of adventure, your spending money and possibly some snacks - there's a lot to see and do."
The Art Trail is on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am - 4pm.
