Dunedin becomes home to a host of vampires with the arrival of 120 cast and crew for the vampire movie 'Perfect Creatures" today.
Filming for the $17 million New Zealand movie will wrap in Oamaru early today and will begin after dark in Dunedin tonight, producer Tim Sanders said.
"Most shooting in
Dunedin is at night. Our film is set with a certain look and season and winter in Dunedin doesn't hurt us at all. The only problem is wind. Rain and cold won't worry us," he said.
"'We are down here for the architecture and the wonderful locations that the city offers. Some locations will surprise even Dunedinites. We have found places even we didnt know existed here, and having found them we are pleased to show them off."
Mr Sanders said filming was nearing the half way mark, and was on budget and time.
