Emma Corrin is a little-known actress who's likely to become a household name after landing the role of a young Princess Diana in the hit series The Crown.
According to the Daily Mail, an advertisement for the role included that the show runners were in search of a "staggeringly talentedyoung actress" to play the Princess aged 18 and 22. Corrin's casting was announced via the show's Twitter account and she will begin filming later this year.
Corrin has made an official statement in response to news of the role, noting she will "strive to do [Diana] justice":
