A flyer from a Sydney McDonalds advertising their new breakfast menu from over 30 years ago has left people in shock at how cheap the fast food items used to be.
A picture of the flyer was uploaded to Facebook by Chad Bonello, who claimed he found it hidden underfurniture in the manager's office at a McDonald's in Woodbine, in Sydney's southwest in 2002.
The voucher offers customers a free breakfast item to be redeemed at a store in Punchbowl (a south-western Sydney suburb) by March 23, 1987.
Social media users were shocked at how cheap the prices used to be, with an Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin with Egg and Scrambled Eggs and Muffin all costing just $1.65 ($1.72NZD).
Now in NZ, a Sausage and Egg McMuffin costs $6.30.
Back then you could get a Hash Brown for just 60 cents but prices have now been bumped up to $2.90.
If you are a fan of the Hotcakes you will know they cost $6.00, a lot more expensive than the $1.65AUD ($1.70NZD) customer's used to pay, according to the flyer.
Facebook users were left in awe at the cheap prices, with many wishing McDonald's would bring back the Big Breakfast, which cost just $2.75 ($2.90NZD) for scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and a muffin.
"Compare the prices of the egg McMuffin and Sausage and egg McMuffin … can't believe I was paying those prices back then," one person said.
"About a month ago I went into McDonald's and asked about the Big breakfast and the girl just looked at me with a blank look on her face. She had no idea why I was talking about and had never heard of it. Made me feel really old lol," another said.
Another added: "The big breakfast was the best should never have been removed from the menu".
