* Teen queen Christina Aguilera looks as svelte as a genie in a bottle, but it might not last, judging from her diet.
During her nine-hour cover shoot for Seventeen magazine, says the New York Post, Aguilera sent several editors out to fetch her Chicken McNuggets, two large orders of fries
from McDonald's, a chocolate shake, two slices of pizza, a Starbucks caffe mocha and a taco salad from Wendy's.
During a break she told one editor: "I always had this fantasy of working in a fast-food drive-through for the summer. It seems like a cool job."
* Ex-Ally McBeal and Melrose Place good-girl Courtney Thorne-Smith is ready to settle down in real life. The 31-year-old is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, genetic scientist Dr Andrew Conrad, says People magazine.
Thorne-Smith, who played stoic but sexy Georgia on Ally up until her departure at the end of this season, is planning an October wedding to be held in Los Angeles.
So how will her ex-boyfriend Andrew Shue - who was her former Melrose Place mate - take the news? In a 1995 interview with People, the actress was asked if she and Shue would remain close friends despite their breakup. Thorne-Smith revealed, "Ask me when one of us gets married. That'll be hard."
* If it's true that parody is a form of flattery, Tom Cruise can consider himself flattered.
Mission: Impossible 2 is barely out in theatres, but already a spoof is set to hit the Warner Bros Website on June 12. The 10-minute Mission: Imp stars Verne Troyer, who was Mini-Me in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
Troyer is chased on a kiddie Harley and goes "mountain climbing" on a jungle gym and slide.
The mission that Troyer's Ethan Runt receives via Game Boy: to save a baby in peril.
"Ethan Runt is the perfect role for me," says the 81cm actor, "because so many of my fans confuse me for just another Tom Cruise type."
