Royal fans, rejoice — another Windsor Castle wedding is on the cards in 2018.

Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, has become engaged to her long-term partner, Jack Brooksbank.

The pair became engaged in Nicaragua this month, Buckingham Palace said.

Their wedding will take place at St George's Chapel in Windsor in autumn.

The chapel is also the venue for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's much-anticipated nuptials in May.

Princess Eugenie, 27, has been dating entertainment manager Brooksbank, 31, since 2010.

The couple met at the Swiss ski resort of Verbier, a royal favourite, about seven years ago, and have been in a serious relationship since.

An announcement posted to Twitter, with a new picture of the happy couple, read: "The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr. Jack Brooksbank.

"Her Royal Highness and Mr. Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month. "The wedding will take place in the Autumn of 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course."

Princess Eugenie, who is the Queen's granddaughter, is eighth in line to the throne.

She is not a full-time member of the royal household, and works as an assistant director at a London art gallery.

Brooksbank is the manager of Mayfair society nightclub Mahiki, and is a friend of Prince Harry.

He has visited Balmoral for Christmas celebrations with the royal family and met the Queen.

In a bumper year for royal celebrations, their wedding will follow that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at St George's Chapel on May 19.

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge and the wife of Prince William, is expecting her third child in April, and Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips, is expecting her second child with former English rugby great Mike Tindall this year.

Sarah Ferguson last night tweeted several photographs of her daughter with Brooksbank.

She also wrote her of "total joy'' and captioned a picture of the pair on a boat with "they float with laughter and love ... although a boat helps!''

Prince Andrew's official Twitter account liked the posts, which included another message from Sarah that read: "A total embrace of goodness and joy. I am so excited to have a son, a brother and a best friend. Eugenie is one of the finest people I know and so together it will be pure harmony.''
