Everleigh can be seen sniffling and crying in the video while her parents explain to the camera that they don't feel like they can take good care of the dog.
"I feel like we're always gone, we're always filming, or we're out and about or at dance competitions all day. We're just always busy doing stuff, number one," the mother says. "Second, he poops and pees all over our house all the time."
"We're gonna let [Everleigh] give him away to whoever she wants," adds Cole, the father. "Who would you want to give Carl away to, Ev?"
The 6-year-old girl continues to sniffle, visibly upset at the news.
"Are you gonna miss him?" her dad asks her.
As the parents try to contain their laughter, Everleigh is in tears.
After a few excruciating minutes, they finally tell the girl that it is all an April Fools prank for their YouTube video.
The parents begin to laugh while the girl begins to cry.
"Too far?" the dad asks.
