American figure skater and Olympian Adam Rippon is being hailed for his fashion-forward Oscars look, donning a bondage-inspired leather harness on the red carpet.
Designed by Moschino, the harness was paired with a traditional tuxedo jacket and bow tie – and earned widespread acclaim from fashion followers, who praised the
openly gay athlete for his unique style.
The self-proclaimed "glamazon bitch" walked the red carpet with fellow skater Mirai Nagasu and told fans on social media, the outfit was still being sewn just minutes before leaving for the event.
Supermodel and Top Model judge Tyra Banks praised the athlete as "fierce" while Chris Rovzar wrote: "Somewhere in heaven, Oscar Wilde, Harvey Milk, James Baldwin, and Michelangelo just shared a margarita."
