With only a few weeks left before the official start of spring, we're looking at the first deliveries of the new season with a thoughtful eye. Calming tones inspired by the Earth and sun-kissed colours are the perfect tonic to winter's sombre palette; and while we've recently explored saturated brights for those who err on the more extreme end of the colour spectrum, washed-out colours are a great alternative to classic black and white.
Cool tones work particularly well on the array of lightweight linens and plush seasonal cashmere - soft to the touch and light on the eyes - offering some respite when you're looking for something to wear that's not a busy print or too sharp in tailoring.
While washed-out denim has been superseded by clean-cut, raw denim in recent seasons, for the warmer months you can't look past a pair of washed-out 70s-inspired flares, teamed with a pair of desert-tone sandals and a vintage T-shirt. It's all that's required as you ease into the new season.
