Is this Auckland's craziest cocktail?
Mt Eden gastro-pub Scarlett Slimms and Lucky has upgraded the traditional Bloody Mary from the drinks list to the main course - adding a chicken wing, beef slider, onion ring and a pickle sticking out the top.
General manager Jimmy Singh said many people had visited just to sample the beverage, the idea for which came from the restaurant's marketing manager, Ollie King.
"The only reason we're doing it is because it's different and nobody has done it in Mt Eden. We thought we'd do it."
The drink costs $25 and Singh said it might be added to the menu permanently.
"People are loving it. We're getting people just coming in for it - they come in groups and sit down and say: 'We're just gonna have the Bloody Marys.'"
