Wearing men's makeup 'adds quality to life'

Designer Tom Ford has released a range of men's grooming products.

Tom Ford wants to add quality to men's lives with his new skincare and grooming line.

In a promotional video, unveiled ahead of the launch of Tom Ford for Men next month, Ford explains what appearance means to him.

"I believe that taking care of one's self adds quality to life, and that looking the best you can is a show of respect to those around you," he says.

"Tom Ford For Men is based on my own personal grooming regiment. It's born from my deep conviction that fine grooming doesn't have to be complicated to be effective. It should be simple, straight forward and intuitive."

Ford then continues to explain what he wants his products to achieve. His collection will feature items such as concealer, lip balm, cleanser and moisturiser.

"The collection includes multi-functional skincare products to calm, comfort and mattify the skin," he adds.

"Grooming products to balance imperfections and achieve a polished look. It's quite simple - take care of your skin, look closely at your face, use a few basic corrective techniques and you will present your most handsome, impeccable self to the world."

Ford previously spoke about why he is venturing into men's cosmetics. He also revealed what products he loves most and uses regularly.

"Most people say to me, 'Wow, you have great skin.' I pay attention to my skin. I use skincare and grooming products!" he laughed.

"People think I am always tan, but I wear bronzer every single day. I use it on areas of my face that would usually get hit by the sun after a morning playing tennis. I put it across the high part of my forehead, and on my nose and cheekbones."
