If a retreat has been calling your name, take this as your sign to book one and start 2025 on the right foot, writes Lucy Slight.

As the school holidays wind down, or if you didn’t get a Christmas break at all, you might find yourself longing for a moment to truly relax.

The festive season can be anything but restful for many of us, and may have left you feeling like you need a real reset. Sound familiar?

If so, now might be the perfect time to book a much-deserved retreat.

Jetting off to Bali might sound dreamy, but let’s be honest, it’s not always realistic. The good news? There are plenty of serene and restorative retreats right here in New Zealand, offering the chance to rest, recharge, and reset without needing your passport.
