But that's exactly what happened when their vehicle drove past a block of apartments in Latvia.

One man who recognised the Google car seized the opportunity to play a prank on the internet giant and its viewers.

As the man spotted the vehicle, he positioned himself outside a block of apartments.

Standing at the edge of the road, the man pulled down his black jeans and underwear and exposed his butt to the camera as it drove past.

He held the pose to make sure the camera caught his cheeky antics.

It's not the first time Google Maps has captured bizarre moments on its street view camera.
