Magazine denies adding cellulite to Lara Bingle's body

The editor of the magazine at the centre of the Lara Bingle bikini body bungle denies altering the images to make the swimsuit model look less sexy.

Famous magazine editor, Matt Frilingos, bluntly denied Bingle's accusations, saying "we have not photo-shopped the images of Lara in Famous this week".

"It is not Famous' agenda to make women look less than natural. The reality is we want to put real women on our covers," the editor told Australian newspaper, The Telegraph.

On Monday night, Bingle lashed out on Twitter over the current cover of the weekly magazine, featuring snaps of the 24-year-old Aussie in a black string bikini frolicking at the beach.

She went on to label the mag "a disgrace" and said the same snaps, taken at Palm Beach and on Sydney Harbour, were used by rival magazine, Who Weekly, last month, sans-cellulite.

The photographers were reluctant to enter the online war, but one told The Telegraph that "the light" may have played a part in the discrepancy.

Who Weekly editor Nicky Briger said was surprised a second set of unseen pictures had come out of the shoot and denied airbrushing Bingle to enhance the images.

"Ours was not a paid interview. Nor were the images set up in collaboration with Lara," she said.

"We bought the photos from an agency and we did brighten them but we did not manipulate them."

Bingle went on that night to slam Famous' headline: Lara Elopes: Married in the Mediterranean.

The story examined baseless rumours the model and her actor boyfriend of 10-weeks Sam Worthington had eloped.
