These two remix collections come from two of last year's dance/electronic albums which haven't really lasted that well into this year. French duo Air's Everybody Hertz takes just three tracks (plus acoustic extra The Way You Look Tonight) from
their Pink Floyd-ian opus 10,000 Hz and gets the likes of Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter, On-U Sound dub guru Adrian Sherwood, the Neptunes to recreate them in their own sonic image, with generally appealing results. That's even if you might already know the Hacker's version of Don't Be Light as New Order's Blue Monday.
Basement Jaxx's rethink of seven cuts from the Rooty album is more their own work, with the English pair behind most of the remixes. Elsewhere, it's largely an exercise in bpm and bass turbo-boosting, apart from the quite lovely unplugged version of Romeo.
