TV2 has pulled Mikey Havoc and Newsboy's show from the screens for three weeks.
The suspension of Havoc Luxury Suites and Conference Facility was announced before the show was due to screen last night, halfway through its 20-week season.
TVNZ spokesman Glen Sowry said the network pulled the episodebecause it was delivered late in a condition unfit to air.
He said the reason the show did not screen was not a matter of legality or taste. It was replaced by a British comedy, Banzai.
Mikey Havoc (in real life Michael Roberts) and sidekick Newsboy (Jeremy Wells) were upset. "We had a production delay but I don't know why that warrants three weeks off," Havoc said last night. "We're very, very, very unhappy about it.
"We've got some really good stuff that we had to go on this week's show and the upcoming shows."
Havoc did not know why the show had been pulled or why three weeks had been chosen as the stand-down period. Last night's show had been ready, despite some "technical hassles".
Havoc Luxury Suites and Conference Facility is to resume on September 4.
