Put on the glitz for a night on the town.
While a dress code for an evening event can be specific, I believe there are no rules when it comes to fashion. Dress appropriately with confidence and style and you can never go wrong.
First stop will always be metallics. WORLD's Epistemology gown is one hell of a statement gown.It is beautifully cut from velvet with a gold floral print and is guaranteed to impress. Keeping it metallic and glistening is Charmaine Reveley's Memphis gown made from a gold sequin embellished fabric. The ultimate showstopper is Trelise Cooper's Goldplay dress. It is covered in gold sequins and has a loose fit and a plunging open back.
My go-to for evening is a jumpsuit - always an elegant and classic choice. I have two very different black options: the first, from Camilla and Marc, is made from contrasting textiles and uses some beautiful draping techniques.
The second is from moochi. It features a super-wide leg and delicate cutaway sleeve and feminine frill.
Sometimes some flirty separates are all that is needed. Seed has a party-ready two-piece in a matching feather crop top and mini skirt.
And Helen Cherry nails it with her silk georgette Tamara blouse and tailored winter shorts.
If you do go with the timeless classic of wearing black for some nighttime glam then adding some loud and bold accessories is a must. Check out The Line Up for ideas including a cute-as beaded heart clutch from Moyna, some cobalt blue snake print heels from Mi Piaci, a fabulous cocktail ring from Meadowlark and complete your look with a piece from faux fur masters Unreal Fur.
