Education Minister Erica Stanford says David Seymour was “overstepping the mark somewhat” and worrying increase in hostility towards LGBTQ+ rights.

Elon Musk has vowed to take a break from his social media site X after a Maga influencer claimed to have given birth to his 13th child.

Ashley St Clair, a 26-year-old right-wing writer, wrote on X that she and Musk had a 5-month-old child and reprimanded the world’s richest man for failing to respond.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father,” she wrote. “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

She later added: “Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded.”

Musk, who has fathered 12 children across three relationships, did not confirm or deny the influencer’s claim but reacted to a British X user’s suggestion that St Clair’s pregnancy was pre-planned.

“Ashley St Clair plotted for half a decade to ensnare Elon Musk,” wrote Milo Yiannopoulos. The post was accompanied by a screenshot appearing to show St Clair telling Greg Price, a fellow media personality, on X that she needed to attract Musk’s attention for a marriage proposal – years before the pair would meet.

“Whoa,” Musk responded, before saying he would be uncharacteristically “offline” for the weekend to work on his Grok 3 AI project.

St Clair, who previously worked for The Babylon Bee, a satirical website, and has written an “anti-woke” children’s book about gender identity, responded: “When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?”

The Maga influencer added that Musk’s team had already been made aware of the social media posts, which were “clearly in jest”.

In an interview with the New York Post, published on Saturday, St Clair claimed that the Tesla and SpaceX chief executive had “slid into her DMs” on X in May 2023.

She claimed he had messaged her: “Are you ever in San Francisco or Austin?” to which she responded: “I am in Austin a good amount for work.”‘

This reportedly led to an offer to interview Musk at the Twitter HQ in San Francisco, which was arranged by her company within two days.

Not long after the interview, St Clair said, she had received another message from Musk asking: “Feel like going to Providence [Rhode Island] tonight?”

“I was told to keep it secret. I was being asked to keep it a secret forever,” she said, referring to her pregnancy, alleging that she had agreed to leave the billionaire’s name off the birth certificate to preserve his privacy.

Florida-born St Clair alleged that she was put up in a lavish apartment in New York’s financial district, while her friends were reportedly made to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

“I was completely isolated during my pregnancy. Every part of my career and everything I used to do I couldn’t do any more. I was told not to tell anybody,” she claimed.

Brian Glicklich, the author’s representative, said the pair had been working “privately” on an agreement for raising their child.

“We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share,” he wrote on X.

Musk has not directly responded to the revelations but has responded to a fan asking if making another baby was one of his “side quests” by posting a crying laughing emoji.

The billionaire, who has admitted being “obsessed” with the plight of falling birth rates, has 12 other children spanning three relationships.

He shares five children with Justine Wilson, his first wife, with whom he has twins Vivian and Griffin and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian. The pair lost their firstborn child at 10 weeks to sudden infant death syndrome.

In 2022, aged 18, Vivian changed her name from Xavier to Vivian, dropped her father’s name and sought gender transition.

In an interview with Jordan Peterson, a Canadian academic, in 2024, Musk declared that his trans daughter was dead to him and that he was “tricked” into giving consent for his child to take puberty blockers.

“I lost my son, essentially. They call it deadnaming for a reason,” he said. “My son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”

His marriage to Wilson, a Canadian author, lasted from 2000 to 2008, with Musk later claiming that he contributes $20,000 a month in child support.

Musk’s high-profile relationship with the musician Grimes brought the birth of X Æ A-Xii, known as X – who has been seen accompanying his father around the White House – his daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, and son Techno Mechanicus.

Grimes, who has previously spoken about wanting privacy for her child, reacted with dismay as Musk paraded the 4-year-old at a press event in the Oval Office.

“He should not be in public like this,” Grimes wrote on X in response to a user complimenting her for raising a “very polite” child. “I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh,” she wrote.

Musk shares twins, Strider and Azure, with Shivon Zilis, a Neuralink executive. The pair welcomed a third child early last year.
