The chance to tattoo a Wellington woman's backside has just sold for $6500.
Twenty-year-old Bailey Price took to TradeMe, to offer bidders the chance to tattoo a 9cm x 9cm area of her buttock.
The bidder could pick the design, but it had to be that size quoted and completed by the tattoo artist of her choice.
A last minute flurry of bidding saw the final price shoot up an extra $400.
The final bidder is only shown as Paul from Australia, whose TradeMe account is new.
Scott, a co-worker with Price at surf shop Backdoor, said she was happy with the amount of money raised. But there was still no verdict on what the bidder's tattoo would be.
"She was in contact with one of the people that were bidding. It was set up pretty well, he wanted quite a nice tattoo.
"But then at the last minute all these people started bidding, so she has no idea what's going to happen.
"So I guess we're all going to have to wait and see. I hope it's something awesome, that would be good for her.
"All the power's in their hands."
Price said she put up the tattoo auction as a way of paying off her debts.
The bidder can pick a charity which will receive 10 per cent of the proceeds.
Price will also send them a framed picture of the tattoo, once it's healed.
