Archie joins Meghan and Harry for visit on South African royal tour

The Duchess of Sussex has opened up about the pressures of being a working mum and given the world a rare glimpse of baby Archie during day three of the royal tour in South Africa.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took their 5-month old baby Archie to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu on Wednesday morning local time.

The couple shared a sweet video of the exchange on Instagram with the caption "Arch meet Archie" as they walked into the legacy foundation to meet the South African leader.

Meghan joked with the Archbishop's daughter, Thandeka Tutu Gxashe, that Archie would have to get used to cameras in his life.

"I have cameras in my genes," she said, adding that Archie was an "old soul."

The Archbishop's daughter also joked, "You like the ladies. He's going to be a ladies man."

On Wednesday afternoon Meghan made a solo visit to the Woodstock Exchange, where she met with female entrepreuners. She also visited mothers2mothers, that works with mums with HIV to donate some of the gifts Archie received as a newborn.

Speaking with other working mums and entrepreneurs, Meghan spoke about the excitement of having Archie with her.

"We're only five months in right now," she said.

"Being a working mum and travelling as well with a baby, my goodness it's a lot, but it's all so exciting.

"There are days when it's a lot to juggle but then you meet someone, have an impact on them and it's so rewarding."

Meghan told the mums: "We brought some of the things that my friends and I used for our kids and Archie that he doesn't wear anymore.

"It's so important to share what has worked for our family to show we're in this together."

Wednesday's visit was the first time Archie has been seen in public on the tour since he was pictured arriving in Cape Town wearing one of his dad's old childhood hats.

Ahead of the visit, a palace source said: "The Duke and Duchess were inundated with gifts for baby Archie from organisations and the general public.

"They were incredibly grateful but one little baby can only wear so many clothes and he's growing fast! So the Duchess decided to being a number of his presents to re-gift them to South African children and families most in need. She'll take a selection of clothes, books and pens to the mothers2mothers charity which help families with HIV."

Prince Harry previously met Archbishop Tutu in 2015 when he presented him with an award in the UK in honour of his peace and reconciliation efforts.

The Duke took a solo charter flight to Botswana on Wednesday, while Meghan will stay in South Africa until they reunite later in the tour.
