A Sydneysider has jokingly asked for suggestions after he woke to find a drunken stranger asleep on his couch.
Dylan Jacobson, from Sydney's east, posted a photo of his visitor on the Bondi Local Loop Facebook page yesterday morning, asking if anyone knew him.
"Anyone own this guy?" Jacobson asked.
"He walked into my apartment at 5am drunk as anything and planted himself on my couch.
"Possible suggestions on dealing with this current situation also welcome."
Jacobson's lighthearted post quickly went viral in the Facebook group and hundreds of people offered ideas.
"Drag the couch outside and flip it?" one commenter suggested.
"Have breakfast ready for him when he wakes up," another said.
"Light some candles and kneel over him praying," joked a third.
The AFL grand final was on Saturday night and hundreds of Sydneysiders celebrate — despite heavy rain.
Jacobson was praised for giving the man somewhere to sleep off the alcohol, out of the wild weather.
"You're a legend for giving him a safe place to crash out of the rain," one commenter said.
But a few locals called on Jacobson to call the police and report the man.
"Call the cops, that s**t is a crime," one said.
In an update later on Sunday, Jacobson said the man had woken up and had been sent home.
"Update: Awake and sent safely home in an Uber," he said.
"Unfortunately his phone didn't make it to mine so if anyone comes across a lost iPhone around the Royal in Bondi let me know."
