Pace, teamwork, accuracy - some of the winning ingredients which took the SPM TaniWhaz team to triumph in the annual Adrenalin Paintball Sports business league.
The team, which had accumulated 1290 points, was awarded the Golden Gun Trophy after the final round at the action-packed paintball site at Lindale on Saturday.
Second place went to HMC RevHeads, 980 points, third place to NZ Survivor Dynasty, 860 points, and fourth to Kapiti News Breaking News, 695 points.
The series, which started before Christmas, grew more intense as teams improved.
"It went really well," Adrenalin Paintball Sports owner Jason Newport said.
"The games were all very close.
"The points at the end didn't really determine the effort that every team put into it."
He took his hat off to TaniWhaz though.
"They were very consistent throughout and had great attitudes."
Meanwhile, Adrenalin Paintball Sports, which has been going since 2007, has also introduced Adrenalin LaserWar, which is becoming very popular.
"Now that we've got a non-contact action game, [ages five plus] we're getting the same excited response, like when people first played paintball.
"A lot of people like action -- shooting at things -- but don't want to get hit.
"And we've got a mobile service so we can take the sport away from our permanent site."
