A controversial new fashion trend has hit the runway and people have very conflicting opinions about it.

On day five of New York Fashion Week, one particular look stole the show. An experimental designer from Miami, Black Tape Project, sent models down the runway wearing outfits made out of duct tape.

That's right: the tape that fixes everything can now be an entire look and, judging by the controversy surrounding it, could be the hottest new look in summer fashion.

While some people consider them just plain distasteful, others applaud the creativity that goes into the pieces.

One thing we can all agree on: they must be a pain to peel off.

There's a lot that can be said for duct taped outfits glued onto a woman's skin but, really, we're just going to let the photos speak for themselves.
