The Kiwi musician burst into nervous hysterics, joking he was almost fired in the past for another "politically incorrect" tweet.
"It's about to go down! I'm shaking - I don't know what to do," Walker said.
"Oh no. It's been flippin' retweeted!"
Walker quickly deleted the post, apologising to his 112,000 followers and declaring he'd been hacked.
"Again I'm sorry for that tweet.... Bloody @kyleandjackieo got me.... Sorry, have an awesome day everyone," he later tweeted.
British singer Kills and her Kiwi-born husband Willy Moon were kicked off the X Factor NZ judging panel last month after slinging insults at contestant Joe Irvine, with Kills calling him "disgusting" for stealing Moon's vintage look.
Australian X Factor judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte was rushed to Auckland to replace them.
While Walker said the incident was unfortunate, he had nothing but praise for Bassingthwaighte.
"She's the bomb mate, she's honestly so awesome," he said.
With just four weeks of filming to go, Walker explained why he stayed silent during the ugly live TV fight.
"You've just got to let it burn, otherwise you're going to get burnt too," he said.
