Floyd Mayweather jnr has been sued for allegedly failing to pay a $180,000 private jet bill as he eyes a return to the ring.
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County and accused Mayweather, his friend and “jewellery consultant” Jona Rechnitz and others of failing to pay Jet SetAircraft US$105,690 ($180,070) for a charter flight to Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean in September, according to the Daily Mail.
The undefeated 49-year-old boxer has faced a string of legal challenges, being sued three times in February over allegations of unpaid rent and jewellery bills adding up to millions of dollars.
Rechnitz had also been named as a defendant in one lawsuit that claimed the pair didn’t pay a US$4 million settlement after a dispute with a Florida jeweller.
The owner of his New York City condo sued Mayweather for US$330,000, with the filing having claimed he stopped paying rent in July 2025 after signing a lease in December 2024.
Business Insider also reported the US Internal Revenue Service has a US$7.3m lien against the boxer for unpaid taxes.

The most recent lawsuit claimed Rechnitz “was aware” Mayweather “frequently” took “goods and services provided by third parties” without paying and that the defendants named should have known the boxer would “refuse to pay for such services” again.
The plaintiff, Jet Set Aircraft, is reportedly seeking the full cost of the flight and punitive damages in an amount to be proven at trial.
Mayweather, who has reportedly made US$1 billion during his career, has been raising funds through the sale of his Gulfstream jet, Air Mayweather, and mansions in Beverly Hills and Miami, according to Business Insider.

He also filed a lawsuit against TV network Showtime, which claimed he was owed US$340m over allegations of fraud.
Showtime’s owner Paramount dismissed the lawsuit as “baseless”.
Mayweather also has plans to return to the ring and is set to fight 59-year-old Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout.
He is then expected to face rival Manny Pacquiao in September more than 10 years after their last fight, which reportedly generated over $1b.
Mayweather has previously had exhibition bouts against internet personalities Logan Paul and Deji, as well as two fights against John Gotti III, the grandson of organised crime boss John Gotti.
