Art Green was a knockout boxing sensation against ex-All Black Zac Guildford - but The Bachelor NZ star says he won't be returning to the ring.
Speaking for the first time since his Fight for Life heroics, Green says he won't take up Guildford's offer of a rematch.
Green confirmed his boxing days were over during a shift working behind the counter at The Loop store at Auckland International Airport with his partner Matilda Rice.
It was part of a fundraising initiative for the Cure Kids charity.
"We had a lot of fun," he said of his voluntary work. "It's great to chat to people about their holidays. There was a great vibe in store at The Loop. Giving up our time is something we're happy to do for such a great cause as Cure Kids."
The couple joined other well-known faces who volunteered to work a shift at the store, which has pledged to match all donations.
Other celebrities packing bags or helping customers over the next week are TV presenters Brendon Pongia and Walter Neilands, X Factor NZ judge and fellow Fight for Life fighter Shelton Woolright, and former All Black Steven Luatua.
Cure Kids' chief executive Frances Benge said it was "heart warming" to see the celebrities pitch in at a time of year when everyone was so time poor.
Marketing manager of The Loop Duty Free store, Katie Chubb, was overwhelmed by the generosity of Kiwis.
"I have only recently moved to Auckland from Ireland and I have been staggered by the willingness of people, both famous and not, to pitch in and help when it comes to supporting fellow Kiwis."
