An unfortunate slip of the tongue by Today Show co-host Ally Langdon is getting global traction, with the hilarious clip even picked up by US talk show host James Corden.
The original segment happened last week, when Langdon and co-host Karl Stefanovic were interviewing two gardening experts about proper lawncare.
Langdon lamented that her own backyard was looking worse for wear, because her lawn of couch grass was slowly dying.
But Langdon's pronunciation of "couch", while technically correct, had her co-host in fits of giggles - given "cooch" is also slang for female genitalia.

"I don't understand what's going on with my co-host," said an apologetic Langdon.

The gardener then followed Langdon's pronunciation of couch grass, advising her that "cooch has got really good wear and tear tolerance, so it can recover quickly".
Stefanovic eventually managed to regain his composure and dubbed the moment "possibly the best segment ever. We'll have more after the break – if we're still on air".
"I still don't understand," shrugged Langdon.
The clip gained traction online over the past week – a recording posted to YouTube viewed more than 120,000 times – before it found its way to US television and James Corden's Late, Late Show.
