David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly shared their fears for their daughter, Harper, with close pals in recent months as turmoil continues to rage within the family.
Living in the public eye her entire life, as Harper gets older an insider close to the family has shared that there hadbeen fears between David and Victoria that their daughter could “end up like Paris Hilton”.
“Of course they worry about her. There has been some chatter around the family that they once feared she would end up like Paris Hilton,” a friend of the family told the Daily Mail.
“Harper was always going to be more standout than the boys. David and Victoria knew that from day one they had to protect her more than her brothers.”
The insider went on to share that being in the public eye presents its own set of challenges for the Beckham children, and sparked concerns that Harper could end up “getting lost” like her brother, Brooklyn.
“How on earth can one of the boys be a mechanic, or get a job in the city even? It would be impossible. The public lens would be on them too much. You can imagine the stories, ‘Here’s Brooklyn lifting a car bonnet’. It simply cannot happen. So then you end up with these children perhaps being a bit lost. Even if they wanted to do something normal, they can’t.”
It comes after Victoria spoke out for the first time publicly about her ongoing feud with her son, Brooklyn, who hasn’t been seen with the family in over a year.
The former singer said all she and her husband, David, have “ever tried to do” was “protect and love” their four children.
The designer addressed the matter for the first time during an interview with The Wall Street Journal last month.
Concerns also exist about Harper (centre) and her brothers feeling "lost" due to public scrutiny.

“I think that we’ve always – we love our children so much,” Victoria said when asked about Brooklyn, although she didn’t refer to her eldest by name. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be.”
She continued: “And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
Brooklyn stunned the world when he publicly cut ties with his family completely in a scathing Instagram rant in January, where the aspiring chef and photographer declared he had “no choice” but to break his silence on the longstanding feud.
The budding chef said “the truth always comes out” and accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship” with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
