The wave of rainbowification in the aftermath of the US Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage has sparked a predictable backlash from some corners - including one man who mistook television station NBC's iconic logo for a celebration of gay pride.
The NBC's famous peacock logo has had its rainbow colour scheme for almost 60 years.
Not that Don Stair had noticed - until now, as Raw Story has reported.
"Your changing your station logo with the colors of gays is a disgrace," he wrote on the Facebook wall of his local Arkansas NBC affiliate KARK 4 News.
"Just stay out of it... Your integrity is ruined ... Shame on you!" he continues, promising to switch allegiances to the presumably straighter news alternative ABC KATV.
KARK 4 News politely replied: "We didn't change our logo Don. Same logo as always."
But Stair found one ally in fellow outraged Facebook user Casey Wayne Martineau.
"[I'm] never watching this news channel again you gay rights advocating atheists, jesus will not be happy with you," he told the news channel.
Others saw the post as an opportunity to flex their wit.
"As a fan of skittles you have offended me for stealing the delicious candy's official colors!" one commenter wisecracked.
