Shay is the latest contestant to be eliminated from Survivor New Zealand, as the first season of the reality show nears its finale.
27-year-old Hamiltonian Shayna Jolan Swain-Tapusoa lost her duel to Mike and Jak at Redemption Island after being voted out of Casar tribe last week.
Shay's elimination leaves six contestants still in the running, with Mike and Jak remaining at Redemption Island and Tom, Nate, Barb and Avi still in Casar tribe.
"If anything I'm just grateful," said Shay upon elimination.

"I have an amazing husband back home who is the best person I know, and a family that believe in me, and if I've learnt anything about myself it's that I can do hard things. I know my potential, I know my worth, and it's not measured on the amount of challenges that I've won."
Last night's episode also saw a knockout victory in the immunity challenge from Barb, who broke Tom's four-time streak of winning immunity.
Currently in its final week, Survivor New Zealand airs on Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm before the live final on Wednesday at the Civic Theatre.
