Stan Walker is hitting the road in November - and he's using his 10-date tour to road test new material.
Walker kicks off his Stan Walker New Take Over tour on November 3 in Invercargill and he'll work his way up the country, finishing his run at theVodafone Events Centre in Auckland on November 19.
The singer and former X Factor judge says he can't wait to get back to what he loves doing best.
"I've been itching to get back on stage and in front of my fans," says Walker, last seen in Taika Waititi's box office smash Hunt For the Wilderpeople.
"They have been waiting for this and I can't wait to be out there performing for them ... this is hands-down going to be my biggest and greatest show."
Australian singer-songwriter Fatai will play in support.
Walker will perform five dates in the South Island: ILT Stadium Southland, Invercargill on November 3; Dunedin Town Hall on November 4; Timaru's Theatre Royal on November 7; Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on November 9; and Nelson's Trafalgar Centre on November 10.
He'll then head to the North Island, playing the Wellington Opera House on November 11; Palmerston North's Central Energy Trust Arena on November 12; New Plymouth's TSB Showplace on November 13; Mt Maunganui's Bay Park on November 16; and Auckland's Vodafone Events Centre on November 19.
The Hawaiian contingent will be strong, with Rebel Souljahz, FIJI (aka George Veikoso, the Polynesian king of reggae) and The Green all announced. Island stars Spawnbreezie and Josh Wawa will also add to the melting pot, alongside Jamaica's man of the moment, Tarrus Riley and British heritage act Steel Pulse.
The local line-up also looks strong with Aaradhna sure to please with her new album Brown Girl, and stalwart summer stars Tomorrow People, Sons of Zion, and Katchafire also on the bill.
