Demi Lovato is heading to NZ next year for the first time.

Disney fans rejoice - pop star Demi Lovato has confirmed plans to perform in New Zealand for the first time next year.

The Disney queen will perform at Auckland's Vector Arena on Sunday, April 26 at an all ages show.

The 22-year-old kicked off her career working for Disney on the movie Camp Rock, and has gone on to star in Glee, The X Factor and Grey's Anatomy.

She has also released four albums, the latest of which, Demi, was released in 2013.

Lovato also spent time in rehab in 2010, and has been open about her battles with depression, eating disorders and self-harm.

Tickets go on sale at midday, Monday December 8, with pre-sales kicking off on December 3.

Meanwhile, another American pop diva has confirmed her first New Zealand shows in the New Year.

Anastacia, the singer-songwriter who had a run of hits in the early to mid noughties, selling more than 30 million albums along the way, is heading to Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on Friday April 24 and Auckland's Aotea Centre two nights later.

The famously bespectacled 46 year-old star is touring after undergoing a double mastectomy last year having been diagnosed with breast cancer ten years earlier.

Her return to touring follows the release earlier this year of her comeback album Resurrection, which contained songs inspired by her health battles.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8.
