Meanwhile, Ponsonby venue The Whiskey has announced a second raft of bands playing its Whiskey Live series, making for more than 70 local acts over 25 nights at the venue during this New Zealand Music Month.
The May 15-22 line-up includes Aaron Tokona, Boy Crush, Cool Rainbows, Cut Off Your Hands, Hollie Smith, Iva Lamkum, Jennifer Zea, Nairobi Trio, Nathan Haines, Nick D and Dick Johnson, Peter Urlich Sextet, Seth Haapu and Tiki Taane, with DJs Arash, Bobby Brazuka, Jason Eli, Manuel Bundy, Uncle Barnie and Phoebe Falconer set to close each night after the headline act.
