Tour news: Anastacia cancels NZ shows

Anastacia has cancelled two planned New Zealand appearances, the second pop star to cancel shows here within a week.

American R&B star Ciara cancelled next week's Tuesday performance in Auckland after two disastrous shows in Christchurch and Wellington.

Now, Anastacia has cancelled April shows in Christchurch and Auckland, citing "logistical reasons".

The shows were to have kicked off the I'm Outta Love singer's Resurrection World Tour, and a press release said they would not be rescheduled.

"The Promoters, along with Anastacia, sincerely apologise to fans, especially as there has been so much interest in this long awaited first tour. Thankfully it's early enough to give everyone enough notice but we are truly sorry," the statement said.

"Please know that all avenues were explored before the decision was made to cancel."
