Warner Bros have officially announced 10 superhero movies slated for the next six years, which are centered around characters in the DC Comics universe.
The success of Marvel's The Avengers has seen many studios turning their focus onto comic book heroes, with Sony's planned expansion of the Spider-Man universe and Fox committing to the Fantastic Four reboot and more X-Men films.
At the Time Warner meeting with investors, Warner Bros chairman Kevin Tsujihara revealed the studio's push for superhero flicks until 2020.
It was announced that Perks of Being a Wallflower star Ezra Miller will play The Flash in a big screen version of the speedy character in 2018, while that same year Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa will play the lead role in Aquaman.
Next year will see Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hit cinemas, with Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader and Henry Cavill reprising his role as the Man of Steel.
The film will also feature Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, who it was announced will get her own movie in 2017.
Other DC features announced included supervillain flick Suicide Squad planned for 2016, Shazam (with Dwayne Johnson playing Black Adam) hitting theatres in 2019, two Justice League movies (for 2017 and 2019), and in 2020, a Cyborg movie and a Green Lantern reboot.
It also said there will be more stand-alone Superman and Batman films.
Warner Bros has success with The Lego Movie and Annabelle this year, but Tsujihara called it a "tough summer", with less than stellar results for Blended and Jersey Boys.
For the future, aside from concentrating on DC, they will also have the new Harry Potter spin-off franchise Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as well as three planned Lego movies in the next four years.
