Does scandal await Justin Bieber in NZ? The twenty-one year is set to arrive in Auckland tonight, hot on the heels of Wellington-born model Bailey Scarlett giving a teary expose to Channel Nine's, A Current Affair.
Scarlett, 18, has claimed her drink was spiked at a Bieber after-party in Melbourne. She claims Bieber was kind to her at first, but later told people she had Bieber Fever.
Party organiser Alex McDonell of Showcase PR has accused Scarlett of attention-seeking, telling AAP: "I guess she's just trying to get her few minutes of fame."
It's not the first time a Bieber after-party has hit headlines. The Baby singer put on quite the show last time he was in New Zealand - both on and off-stage.
In November 2013, Spy reported a select group of very attractive young girls joined the pint-sized pop star on the upstairs balcony at Tyler St Garage, following his Vector Arena show. The bar tab was understood to have neared a whopping $20,000.
We were told that included a massive amount of vodka Red Bulls, 20 bottles of champagne and several bottles of 21-year-old tequila.
At Tyler Street, Biebs reportedly took off his shirt, put on an impressive diamond chain and partied hard. Any attempts to photograph him were met with extreme hostility by his minders.
Bieber has been a consummate professional since the Melbourne scandal broke and continued his Aussie schedule. Today, he will take over a whole island in Sydney Harbour to entertain his Australian fans before crossing the Ditch to New Zealand.
And while Biebs issued his Aussie fans with strict selfie etiquette, Spy understands those rules won't apply to the winners of ZM's exclusive Bieber-Q competition, where fans will be treated to selfies with the singer and a special acoustic performance.
