Spy: Rhythm and vines gets glam upgrade with pre-party hosted by bachelorette

Not everyone attending Rhythm and Vines this year will be roughing it.

Things are definitely on the up for the well-heeled this year at the popular music festival.

Musos with money can go all VIP with glamping, which comes with a personal concierge service and a luxurious tent with everything to ensure their time at the festival goes without a hitch.

The glam factor doesn't stop there. Spy understands Bachelorette Dani Robinson - who is in Hawaii this week - may be hosting an official pre-party before the big event.

The first reveal of acts for the festival is on Tuesday. Rumours have swirled for months on which big acts will perform for the 20,000 strong crowd among the vines at Waiohika Estate near Gisborne.

Lorde's name was being whispered but festival director Hamish Pinkham quashed that to Spy, saying recording commitments prevented it.

Pinkham could not divulge the big names before the list goes public but he did tell Spy: "We have undergone some of the biggest changes to the festival since 2008, when we moved from a one-day to a three-day festival. The line-up is impressive and it is a new dawn for us."
