Sophie Monk has been pranked by Aussie's opposition leader Bill Shorten in a radio interview, with the presenter fooled into thinking she was interviewing a Home & Away star.
It's been six months since Shorten left Monk red faced in another radio prank, and it seems the former Bardot starstill hasn't brushed up on her political prowess. Can someone be so out of touch that they'd fall for the prank a second time? We'll let you decide.
On her KIIS FM breakfast show this morning, the former Bardot pop star was told by the team that she and co-host Matty Acton would be interviewing "Bruce" - the "actor" behind the made-up character of Peter Spence on Home & Away.
When Shorten took a seat in the studio - in his usual suit and tie - and the segment began, Monk confidently chatted away about his time on the long-running Australian soap.
Reading the fake notes in front of her written by producers, Monk asked "Bruce" about his on-screen relationship with Summer Bay's Irene and his long career as an actor.
"My career's had a slow take off. The Logies is still alluding me and I don't think this year's going to be different," Shorten told her.
Ready for the big reveal, Acton asked "Bruce" to explain why he really won't ever be nominated for a Logie.
"This is mean, Sophie. (But) Politics isn't everyone's bag ..." he said before Acton told her it was Bill Shorten.
