Ms Falzon, of Mt Wellington, got to the airport an hour before he was due to arrive at 7.30am just in case he got there early.
And sure enough she caught him.
Ms Falzon tries to track down as many international celebrities as possible when they grace our shores, but Brand is someone she's always wanted to meet.
"He's always been one of my top, top people to meet so I was over the moon to actually meet him."
Ms Falzon is going to Brand's show tonight and told him she would be in the front row.
"And he said he'd say hello."
Alongside Ms Falzon at the airport - and the only other person there to greet Brand - was New Zealand's self-confessed celebrity stalker, Samantha Bellingham, who also got a picture with the star.
Brand is believed to be staying at the SkyCity Grand Hotel ahead of his Auckland show tomorrow night during his "I Am the Walrus" tour. He performed in Hamilton last night.
The comedian is jet-setting over to Sydney on Thursday to present an award at the 2012 ARIA Awards.
Brand's then got a series of shows in Australia before he makes way back to this side of the Ditch for a performance in Wellington on December 13.
Brand shot to fame when he was seen as rocker Aldous Snow in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Since then, the British star has become an international comedic success.
