Post-earthquake angst is being blamed for the cancellation of Daniel Bedingfield's Wellington show.
The musician and X Factor judge has called off plans to perform at the Opera House on Sunday.
Promoter Layton Lillas said ticket sales were tracking well until a 6.5 magnitude quake struck the Capital last week
"They were tracking about what I would expect for a Daniel Bedingfield show in Wellington and then the earthquake happened and there was a substantial drop."
Lillas said he saw a similar trend after the February 22 Christchurch earthquake.
"People seem to batten down the hatches when something like this happens."
Bedingfield would reschedule his show for another time, Lillas said.
Wellington ticket holders can get refunds from Ticketek.
Whitney Houston tribute show The Greatest Love of All planned for next Thursday has also been cancelled because of the earthquakes.
