Police arrest man wielding a machete outside Justin Bieber concert in Cardiff

Welsh police arrested two men, one of whom was wielding a machete, outside a Justin Bieber concert in Cardiff.

Footage of the incident shows police restraining the man outside Principality Stadium hours before the Canadian superstar was due to take the stage.

The website UNILAD quoted an eyewitness who said police were quickly on the scene.

There were no reports of injuries.

South Wales Police later confirmed that they were called to a dispute involving two motorists near the venue and arrested two men, aged 19 and 27.

The 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray and the 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of using threatening behaviour.

There were reports that the arrested man had been painting the faces of concert goers prior to the incident.

The incident comes just over a month since the terrorist bombing at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, which claimed 23 lives.
