A petition requesting Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder be banned from directing future DC comic book movies already has 7000 signatures.
Snyder is the director behind last week's blockbuster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a film which critics slated but was loved by many fans and did well at the box office.
But it wasn't loved by all fans: one has set up a Change.org petition that asks Warner Bros to remove Snyder from directing two upcoming Justice League movies.
"Zack Snyder is not the person to bring the Justice League to the big screen. He's had two chances now to adapt DC characters and has produced middling results," the petition states.
"Even if you loved Man of Steel and BvS. There has to come a time when WB and DC want someone at the helm that can create something that WON'T divide people in such a way.
"The building blocks are there for a great different set of superhero movies. Good actors and actresses and even directors. Zack Snyder is just not the guy that should be in charge of the biggest and most important films in the franchise. Especially with his track record now."
Snyder is down to direct two Justice League movies set for release in 2017 and 2019, as well as producing Wonder Woman (2017), Aqua Man (2018) and The Flash (2019).
But Batman v Superman had woeful reviews, with critics calling it plot-less and incoherent. It led to headlines like Vice's Why Zack Snyder keeps ruining comic book movies.
The Justice League is made up of DC characters Aquaman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
The petition already has 7700 signatures.
