No one liked the bad boat sex in last night's Game of Thrones finale

It was the hook-up millions of Game of Thrones fans had been waiting for. But it was all a bit ... ugh.

Warning: Spoilers follow...

Daenerys and Jon Snow finally hooked up in last night's season seven finale, making weird naked plank love on a boat while travelling north.

At the same time, in another part of Westeros, Bran was busy explaining to Samwell Tarly why Jon Snow and Daenerys shouldn't be having sex (she's his aunt, he's her nephew).

And to make matters worse, Tyrion was lurking outside the door.

Yes, last night's climactic moment in the season seven finale of Game of Thrones was ... quite awful. Mashable went so far as to call it "terrible ... virginal, restrained, un-sexy sex".

And many people agreed.

Even the stars involved in the scene, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington, think it's a bit wrong.

In a YouTube featurette posted after the finale, Harington said: "I think they both know it's wrong, I think they both know it's gonna cause problems, but it's that thing-when you suddenly feel that deeply about someone, and you go through those events together; it's like a runaway train. You can't stop it happening."

Clarke just said: "For us as actors it's just weird. The reality of what they are to each other .. I don't know how that's gonna ... I think 'argh' might be the reaction."
