A Trump campaign video designed to boost current US president Donald Trump's appeal in the 2020 elections has backfired in the entertainment world and drawn a Twitter take-down from the two celebrities cast in the video as villains.
On Monday night, the US President had tweeted the crudely-made 2020 campaignvideo, which was edited together by a fan and supporter who borrowed the idea from the superhero film.
"MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Mr Trump wrote in his tweet sharing the clip.
The video, which has since been deleted because of copyright infringement, proclaims: "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they call you a racist … Trump: The Great Victory. 2020."
The Trump campaign tribute video not only incurred a copyright infringement when it borrowed music from the blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises — it also provoked Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston and outspoken Trump adversary Rosie O'Donnell to clap back after being bizarrely cast as "villains" in the Batman-themed trailer.

Warner Bros. studios immediately threatened legal action and had the video removed over the ude of the soundtrack, which was scored by Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer.
In a statement made on Tuesday night, Warner Bros. confirmed it was taking action over the video.
"The use of Warner Bros.' score from The Dark Knight Rises in the campaign video was unauthorised," a spokesman said. "We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed."

When longtime Trump enemy Rosie O'Donnell was asked by her online followers if she had seen the video, she replied on Twitter: "I am in great company. He is a f**king disease. … 2020 is coming and he will be gone."
Other "villains" in the pro-Trump video include Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Amy Schumer.
