Alan Morrison and Rowan Bettjeman present the most awkward television moments of the week.

It was a week where everything that could go wrong, went wrong, for TVNZ 1's Breakfast news team.

The early morning show dealt with one disaster after the next thanks to a seemingly endless series of live cross fails.

It began with Hilary Barry and co managng to a stuff up their attempt at a mannequin challenge in truly spectacular fashion.

Later, a photo of Rob Kardashian randomly interrupted a nice story about Emma Watson spreading the word of Maya Angelou.

But it was the catastrophic live cross to Christchurch that pushed Barry a little too far, telling the audience the show needed to "get their shiz together".

And this was all before their shambolic attempt at an Adele tribute today.

Other awkward moments this week include Paul Henry's obsessive love of Naseby and Duncan Garner's unfortunate confession about edible donkey penis.
