Mystery surrounds the cancellation of what was shaping up to one of the local tours of the summer.
Kiwi songstress Brooke Fraser was scheduled to perform 10 New Zealand shows in March and April, including a headlining slot at Auckland's Vector Arena and shows in Christchurch.
But a statement released via Fraser's Facebook page said all shows had been cancelled due to "unavoidable scheduling conflicts".
The Psychosocial singer was due to perform 10 shows including dates in Hamilton, Palmerston North, Invercargill, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, New Plymouth, Napier and Tauranga.
Despite the post saying the shows would be rescheduled and full refunds were available, fans replied to Fraser's Facebook post asking for an explanation.
"Shattered and dismayed," wrote one fan, while another said: "Gutted but hope all is okay." A third said: "we were speculating re a baby announcement lol."
Fraser is still due to perform a lengthy tour through America, Canada and Australia starting in January in Seattle and ending in March in Sydney.
