It appears Christian Bale won't play Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic.
Bale apparently left the Danny Boyle film Jobs because he felt he wasn't right for the part, according to sources of The Hollywood Reporter.
Industry bible Variety says Bale had been in talks for the role but never made a deal.
This comes just weeks after writer Aaron Sorkin told Bloomberg (via Variety) that Bale had the part.
"We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale," he said.
"It's an extremely difficult part and he's gonna crush it."
The long-in-the-works biopic originally had also been circling Leonardo DiCaprio for the role, who parted ways because of scheduling conflicts with The Revenant.
Meanwhile, funnyman Seth Rogen is apparently in talks to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in the film, based on the biography by Walter Isaacson.
