Marlon Williams is continuing his rise on the global stage, after making his debut US television appearance on Conan last night.
Williams performed the track Hello Miss Lonesome with his his band The Yarra Benders, earning massive praise from the show's host Conan O'Brien, who said: "that's how it's done. Come back any time, I'm a huge fan".
Williams has appeared before on Later ... With Jools Holland in the UK, and the Late Late Show in Ireland, but this is his first US appearance which comes ahead of a newly announced tour of the US and Canada starting later this year.
In the last year, Williams has won two Tuis at the New Zealand Music Awards for best male and breakthrough artist, nabbed nominations for the ARIAs, AMP and Taite Music Prize, and toured the world.

He also features in upcoming Kiwi film The Rehearsal - based on the book by Man Booker prizewinner Eleanor Catton - which will premiere at the New Zealand International Film Festival beginning in July.
